What this policy covers
This policy is about the SugarCalc website at https://SugarCalc.com, including our public pages, Contact page, and public Demo. It does not describe any Freemius page, your use of the SugarCalc plugin, or how any other website handles information.
What happens when you visit the website
We do not use advertising or social-media pixels on this website. We do use the technical services needed to deliver, protect, and maintain it.
When you view a page our hosting and infrastructure provider Ionos receives technical request information, such as your IP address and information needed to send the page to your browser.
Our security package records information, including IP addresses, about failed login attempts, requests for pages that don’t exist, and other suspicious requests to help protect the website. We do not use that information to build visitor profiles, only for website security.
If you contact us
If you use our Contact page, you choose what to include. That may include your name, phone number, email address, organisation, website, and message.
We use that information to read, reply to, and manage your enquiry. The website emails the message to us through our email provider, Purelymail. We don’t record your IP address, or anything other than what you choose to send, plus the date and time it was sent.
The website keeps a copy in its outbound email log for 90 days, then deletes that copy automatically. Your message also stays in our mailbox until we delete it.
Cookies and browser storage
The website uses no cookies, and no advertising or visitor analytics.
On the public Demo, accepting the medical disclaimer stores `sugarCalcDisclaimerAccepted=true` in your browser’s session storage. It records only that acknowledgement, not a blood-glucose reading, and it is automatically removed when you close the browser tab.
Freemius and other websites
If you choose any purchasing or download link, you leave this website and go to a Freemius page. Freemius handles that page under its own privacy notice and terms. Please see their privacy policy at https://freemius.com/privacy/. Freemius share your name and email address with us, and after installation the address of the site where you installed SugarCalc.
Our website may link to other websites for information or services. Their privacy practices are their own.
How long information is kept
We keep the outbound email-log copy described above for 90 days.
Security records about failed login attempts, requests for pages that don’t exist and other suspicious requests are deleted automatically after 90 days.
Your requests and concerns
You can contact Admin@SugarCalc.com to ask about information we may hold about you, to correct it, to request deletion where appropriate, or to raise a privacy concern.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website or its technical services change. The current version will show its “Last updated” date.
